Charity Auction
Unexpected and rare treasures you fill find, yes, at the ConQuesT Charity Auction.
All proceeds benefit AboutSF,
a resource center for speculative literature, science fiction, and
education that also coordinates volunteer efforts throughout the
speculative fiction field. AboutSF is based out of the The
J. Wayne and Elsie M. Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction
at the University of Kansas, also home to the Theodore Sturgeon
and John W. Campbell Memorial Awards and the annual Campbell Conference.
AboutSF is a joint project of the university, The Science Fiction
and Fantasy Writers of America, and The Science Fiction Research
Association.
Our experienced auctioneers provide quite
a show, mixing their own unique brand of stand-up comedy with award-winning
displays of personal humiliation and excellence in begging. So come
one and all, and spend your parents' inheritance! You'll get some
great stuff, and your purchases and cash donations will fund the
cause of spreading science fiction to a new generation of readers.
Donations
can be dropped off in the charity auction area, where the items
will be on daily display for your review. And there's always a few
last-minute surprises at showtime!
