Documentation for Cosplay
by Amy Miller, ConQuesT 48 Masquerade Chair
Documentation is important, for both cosplayer and judge. It helps bring a long, involved process into focus, and presents the product in a concise manner. Yes, documentation is essential if standing for craftsmanship judging.
But, what IS documentation? This downloadable article (pdf) explains how to document your costume creation process for competition. Read Documentation for Cosplay by Amy J. Miller.
We love volunteers! If you’d like to volunteer during ConQuesT, please stop by the Ops Desk on the Terrace at the top of the escalator, near registration, at any time during the con.
The ConQuesT room block is now closed and the discount has expired. If you are planning to attend and have not yet reserved a room, call the Sheraton at 816 841-1000 for reservations and mention that you are attending the convention. If rooms are available, the room rate is at the hotel’s discretion.
SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR: ConQuesT has opted into the Sheraton’s Magic Meetings program, which donates $3 per eligible room night to a charity of ConQuesT’s choice. As part of this program, a room attendant will tidy your hotel room daily, emptying the trash and restocking the coffee and tea service, but will not change the towels and sheets. You may opt out of this program when you check in to the hotel.
